Schematic Information Extractor

Drag in a schematic file to find out more

This tool allows import a Minecraft schematic file of various formats, and extracting the information that it stores. This is useful for investigating issues with schematic files, such as them failing to load or not appearing as expected in the game. You can use the "Share Report" button to export a report link that you can share with others.

The tool will attempt to extract the following information from the schematic:

  • The schematic format and format version
  • The Minecraft version and data version
  • The types of blocks in the schematic, and number of unique block types
  • The types of biomes in the schematic, and number of unique biome types
  • The volume of the schematic (size in blocks)
  • The size of each dimension (width, height, length)
  • Extra metadata set during creation

As different schematic formats differ in what kinds of data they can store, some of this information might be displayed as "Unknown." This is because that information cannot be extracted or inferred from the schematic file.

This tool supports most common schematic formats, including those created by programs such as WorldEdit or MCEdit. Some of the supported formats are:

  • Minecraft Structure Format
  • Sponge Schematic Format
  • MCEdit Schematic Format
